Viticulture Photovoltaics Cultivation of land Renewable energy
Research Focus
My research focuses on the interface between agricultural land use and decentralised energy production. At its core lies the technical, economic and ecological assessment of agri-photovoltaic (APV) systems in Austria and Europe, with particular attention to comparing different climate zones and crops. Building on my background in viticulture and oenology, I am especially interested in the potential of APV for specialty crops such as wine and fruit production. The aim of my work is to provide robust planning and decision-making foundations for an area-efficient integration of agriculture and the energy transition.
